it's all about the song. plain and simple. you do
whatever
it takes to serve the needs of the song.
sometimes it's ugly, raw... sometimes it's glorious, lush.
but the song knows what she wants. she guides the project.
if you are looking for a producer to sit inside a control room,
roll the tape all day long, tell you how wonderful you sound...
well, you got the wrong guy.
i am your teammate, your co-writer, your coach. i am there for you,
on your side, but i won't sugarcoat things and blow smoke up your ass.
it's just not my thing. i am very hands on. i absolutely love what i do.
i live and die for this thing called the creation of music.
every project i work on is like witnessing the creation of life.
and the cycle of conception through birth never gets old.
