Song #42. “Friday Rocks!”
Posted by in 365 on January 31, 2011
I was thinking of all my friends who returned to the grind this morning. This one goes out to you!
Demo features David Kalmusky on guitar (Journey, Emerson Drive)
FRIDAY ROCKS!
Song #41. “Girl In The Car”
Posted by in 365 on January 30, 2011
Well, this song is as ridiculous as it is true. It takes dramatic license with a story, throws that story into a Delorrean traveling at 88Mph. When the flux capacitor get’s the requisite 1.21 Gigawatts, the car returns from 1984 with this song in it.
Song #40. “Fate”

There is just no escaping it. Another song that was written on the dog walk. Thanks to meeting a cool neighbor who told me her story… followed by some other Nashville stories.
Song #39. “frenemy”
Posted by in 365 on January 28, 2011
A song about realizing what’s important in life and about what’s not. A concept I wish many people in the world would understand.
Song #38. “Feel Like That”
Posted by in 365 on January 27, 2011
All about facing life head on, warts and all, in the middle of a battle with cancer.
Update: cried a lot on the final mix. Dana I wrote this for you when you were writing about the hardest time you were having keeping up the fight. So sorry it took a while to get this recorded right.
Lots of love from all of us! – Russell
Song #37. “On The Run”
Posted by in 365 on January 26, 2011
Not sure I know what to say about this one yet. We will see once it is recorded.
Song #36. “Fall In Like”
Posted by in 365 on January 25, 2011
A co-write with Ginnie Donaldson. All about dating, giving up, trying again, becoming cynical, and regret.
It’s actually more fun than all that.
Song #35. “Home Again”
Posted by in 365 on January 24, 2011
Another upbeat (not) song in the crappy stretch of weather…
Song #34. “To Be Alive”
Posted by in 365 on January 23, 2011
It’s a long crazy journey that brings us to wherever we are in the world. At least it has been for me 🙂
Song #33. “Nashville, TN”
Posted by in 365 on January 22, 2011
A little song about the cultural mish mash and mis-match around here. Inspired by a new and incredible person I met today who is also fighting cancer. She is 30 and has 4 kids.
